TWMB@Grady Teachlet: Loving Words

Posting monthly teachlets in staff areas help establish a physical presence of TWMB on the units and provides staff with the opportunity to strengthen their foundational knowledge in topics related to supporting early brain development with language nutrition. TWMB@Grady developed a set of monthly teachlets to broaden and deepen staff understanding of TWMB practices and principles, provide tips for coaching families on the topic, and show how staff support the initiative. This teachlet reviews the importance of using loving words with babies and emphasizes that nourishing babies with loving words does not mean showering babies with praise all the time, a common misconception for those new to TWMB practices and principles.
