Editable Exemplar Writing Rubrics

These rubrics are meant to help you create or select high-quality rubrics to accompany your writing instruction. We provided one per grade level, K-3, and covered different genres you might teach. They are based on the Common Core Standards for writing for each grade, grade-appropriate conventions and genre-specific teaching points. Feel free to adapt and modify as needed. Keep it simple and developmentally appropriate.
