TWMB@Grady Teachlet: Conversations vs. Digital Media Use

Posting monthly teachlets in staff areas help establish a physical presence of TWMB on the units and provides staff with the opportunity to strengthen their foundational knowledge in topics related to supporting early brain development with language nutrition. TWMB@Grady developed a set of monthly teachlets to broaden and deepen staff understanding of TWMB practices and principles, provide tips for coaching families on the topic, and show how staff support the initiative. This teachlet reviews why the American Academy of Pediatrics recommends little to no screen time for babies and provides guidance on how to talk with families about minimizing screen use with baby.
